Political Awareness and Involvement

Our mission is to educate and inspire active engagement in public policy through coordinated initiatives in voter education, civic participation, and legislative advocacy. We lead efforts that include:

Voter registration and education initiatives
Organizing Delta Day at the State Capitol
Sending representatives to Washington, D.C. for Delta Days in the Nation’s Capital, the Sorority’s annual legislative conference
Promoting participation in the U.S. Census
Engagement through the Social Action Commission
Hosting Impact Day of Service

Through these efforts, we empower our community to be informed, involved, and impactful.

🗳️ Did You Know?
In the November 2024 General Election, Allen County had the fourth lowest voter turnout in the state of Indiana.

Only 58% of registered voters in Allen County cast a ballot
This was below both the state average (61%) and the national average (63.9%)
According to the Allen County Election Board, approximately 95% of eligible voters are registered
However, 13,400 of the 263,099 registered voters are considered inactive
