Community Pride in Action: Great American Cleanup

The Great American Cleanup brought volunteers together to improve Fort Wayne’s neighborhoods and public spaces through hands-on service.

Chapter members showed their community pride by helping remove litter and debris from local roadsides, parks, trails, and waterways. Their efforts contributed to cleaner, safer, and more welcoming spaces for residents and visitors.

Well-maintained public areas can strengthen neighborhoods and improve the overall quality of life. By working alongside other community volunteers, the Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated helped demonstrate the difference collective action can make.

The cleanup reflected a shared commitment to caring for the community and preserving the spaces that make Fort Wayne a better place to live, work, and visit.
