Service in Action.
Impact in Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter advances the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated through programs, partnerships, and service initiatives that strengthen our community.

OUR FIVE-POINT PROGRAMMATIC THRUST

Five Areas. One Commitment.

Our public-service initiatives address key areas that support individuals, families and the broader Fort Wayne community.

Economic Development

Educational Development

International Awareness and Involvement

Physical and Mental Health

Political Awareness and Involvement

Economic Development

Through economic development initiatives, Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter promotes financial awareness, economic empowerment, and long-term stability for individuals and families.

Guided by the Sorority’s Financial Fortitude initiative, our programs address goal setting, budgeting, debt management, saving, retirement planning, and access to financial resources. Additional chapter initiatives promote homeownership and entrepreneurship as pathways to greater stability and stronger communities.

Educational Development

Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter supports young girls through educational enrichment, leadership development, and confidence-building experiences.

Our youth programs help participants recognize their strengths, embrace their self-worth, and develop the skills needed to pursue their goals and prepare for future success.

International Awareness and Involvement

Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter promotes global awareness through education, service, advocacy, and collaboration. Our efforts address education, literacy, health, poverty, human rights, and access to essential resources. By supporting international initiatives and increasing awareness of global challenges, we encourage action that advances equity, sustainability, and stronger communities locally and around the world.

Global awareness observances include World AIDS Day, International Day of the Girl Child, International Day of Education, International Literacy Day, World Teachers’ Day, and World Diabetes Day.
