No Judgment Zone: Breaking the Stigma Around Mental Health

On May 18, 2019, the Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter presented No Judgment Zone, a community event focused on mental and behavioral health and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

The program featured a panel discussion with local professionals representing behavioral health, suicide prevention, community outreach, substance-use treatment, and women’s health. Attendees received information and perspectives intended to promote awareness, encourage open conversation, and connect individuals and families with support.

Panelists included Alice Jordan-Miles, director of the Behavioral Health and Family Studies Institute at Purdue Fort Wayne; Raphael Bosley, mental health professional; Lesly LeBrun, suicide prevention coordinator; Myqueisha Bratton, community partner initiative coordinator at Parkview Health; Elisabeth Andrews-Murray, Med Assist Treatment Program manager at

Parkview Health; and Dr. Elicia Harris of Women’s Health Advantage.

The event also included a balloon release as participants came together to recognize the importance of mental health awareness and community support.
