Power Starts Local Civic Education Forum Engages the Community

More than 60 community members gathered for the Power Starts Local: Civic Education Forum, an evening focused on strengthening civic knowledge and encouraging informed community participation.

The forum addressed a range of topics related to local government, public leadership, and the role residents play in shaping their communities. Attendees had an opportunity to gain practical information, ask questions, and leave with a stronger understanding of how local decisions affect their daily lives.

The Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter was grateful for the elected officials who attended and supported the event. Their participation contributed valuable perspectives and helped create a meaningful exchange between community members and local leaders.

The event was made possible through the partnership between the chapter’s Social Action Chair and the Fort Wayne Urban League. Their collaboration created an accessible space for education, discussion, and civic engagement.
