Annually we participate in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk hosted by the American Cancer Society.

Make sure you know your family history and share it with your healthcare provider. Stay current on routine screenings, including mammograms, based on your age and individual risk. Pay attention to changes in your breasts and speak with your provider about any concerns. These conversations and screenings can help detect breast cancer earlier, when it is easier to treat.

We stand with our sisters and all those navigating a diagnosis, celebrate our survivors, and honor the lives and memories of those who have transitioned. Their experiences remind us why education, advocacy, and access to quality care remain essential to our work, especially in addressing the health disparities affecting Black women.

Be sure to schedule your screening if you’re due, encourage someone you love to do the same, and support efforts that bring care within reach.
